Perhaps you’re like me. You love train travel, but it never seems to work to book a train for business or vacation. Consider treating yourself to your own one-day micro rail excursion! They’re fun, adventuresome, and not that expensive. This blog explores day trips that I have personally taken, some solo and some with family. I’ve even invited friends to join me on a same-day rail journey for my birthday! Each trip has a goal at its destination, often a restaurant (rail-to-table) or a brewery, or both.
